Product Description
Blended in 1939 as a gift for a visiting king and never really out of favour since, Crown Royal remains the benchmark Canadian whisky. Fifty separate whiskies go into the blend, married for smoothness rather than swagger, and the purple bag it arrives in has become shorthand for a bottle worth bringing along. It is the rare spirit that satisfies a long-time drinker and welcomes a newcomer in the same pour.
Expect vanilla, soft orchard fruit and a light dusting of oak spice over a famously clean finish. Neat over a single cube it shows its polish; in a highball or a stirred cocktail it holds its shape without turning shy. A dependable house whisky for anyone who keeps one bottle out on the counter.
