Product Description
Long before the cans, Cutwater was a distillery, and the anejo is where that side of the business shows. Anejo tequila is aged at least a year in oak, and the extra time turns the green sharpness of raw agave into something rounder and considerably more contemplative. A serious bottle at a price that has not caught up to it.
Caramel, vanilla and toasted oak sit over cooked agave, finishing warm and gently spiced. Drink it neat in a copita, or over a single large cube; it also makes an excellent agave Old Fashioned. Suited to sipping rather than shooting, and a good gift for a whiskey drinker curious about tequila.
