Crystal Head was co-founded by Dan Aykroyd and artist John Alexander, and the skull-shaped bottle has been a conversation piece since the first one landed on a back bar. Behind the glass is a genuinely well-made vodka, multiply distilled and filtered through semi-precious crystals at a Newfoundland facility. It is one of the few bottles people keep long after the spirit is gone.
The spirit is clean and faintly sweet, with a soft, almost creamy texture and very little bite. Serve it straight from the freezer, or use it where clarity matters, in a martini or a vodka soda with a twist. A strong gift bottle and a striking centrepiece for a bar cart.
