Product Description
Ruby is Port at its most direct. Bottled young to keep its fruit intact, it skips the long oak aging that makes tawny nutty and dry, arriving instead deep purple and full of life. Delaforce has been making it in the Douro for well over a century.
The palate is rich with blackberry, black cherry and plum, sweet and full-bodied, with a warming grip of spirit behind the fruit. Serve it in a small glass at cool room temperature. It is the classic partner to dark chocolate and blue cheese, and it rescues an ordinary dessert with almost no effort.
