Product Description
Chateauneuf-du-Pape sits at the top of the southern Rhone hierarchy, grown among the galets roules, the round stones that hold the day-s heat and release it overnight. Domaine du Grand Tinel farms old Grenache vines there and works in a generous, traditional style.
The 2015 shows warmth and depth: kirsch, dried fig and black olive over wild herbs, leather and a peppery finish, with tannins that have softened into something plush. Decant it an hour before serving. Roast lamb, game birds, daube or a hard sheep cheese will meet it properly.
