Two perfectionists met on this project. Dom Perignon and Lady Gaga built a shared body of work around creative risk, and the rose is its centerpiece, dressed in a sculpted case that reads more like an art object than packaging. Vintage rose is the hardest thing the house attempts, requiring a year strong enough in both pinot noir and chardonnay to carry the color without surrendering structure. It arrives gift-boxed, which removes the last excuse for not making an occasion of it.

Tense and savory rather than sweet, with red berry, blood orange and a faint smokiness over a firm chalky spine. Serve it cool but not frozen, in a white wine glass, alongside duck, seared tuna or simply the first hour of the evening.
