Product Description
Don Julio 70 was created for the seventieth anniversary of the house and effectively launched the cristalino category. It is a genuine anejo, aged in American white oak and then filtered until the color is stripped away, leaving the flavor of an aged tequila in a clear bottle.
The effect is unusual and rather elegant: bright agave and citrus arrive first, as if from a blanco, then vanilla, caramel and toasted oak follow behind. The finish is silky and warm. Serve it neat and slightly chilled, or build a striking clear cocktail that an aged tequila would normally darken.
