Product Description
Don Julio Gonzalez was seventeen when he started making tequila in 1942, and the anejo is the fullest expression of what he spent a lifetime chasing. It rests in oak for well over a year, long enough to pull the spirit dark and round, and it drinks closer to fine whiskey than to anything you would mix.
Look for toffee, dried fig, vanilla and a warm trace of oak, carried on a texture that coats the glass. Serve it neat, no ice, in a glass you would use for Cognac, after a long dinner. This is the aged end of the Don Julio range, for the drinker who wants depth over brightness.
