Product Description
Highland agave supplied the raw material and time supplied everything else. Ultima Reserva is assembled from the final reserves the founder set aside, a stock that cannot be replenished, which is why the release was positioned as the closing chapter of the house rather than another line extension. Extra anejo requires at least three years in oak, and this sits well beyond the minimum, with the concentration and tannin that only long maturation delivers.
The palate is dense and slow: dried fruit, dark chocolate, roasted agave, leather and a finish that keeps unfolding well after the swallow. Pour a small measure neat, let it breathe for ten minutes, and drink it the way you would a fine brandy. A bottle for the collector rather than the cocktail shaker.
