Product Description
Beaujolais Nouveau arrives by tradition on the third Thursday of November, only weeks after the grapes were picked, and Georges Duboeuf remains the name most associated with getting it into the glass. The 2024 is Gamay from the Beaujolais region of France, made by carbonic maceration to keep the fruit loud and the structure light.
It pours bright purple-red and drinks like fresh-crushed berries: strawberry, cherry and a lick of that distinctive banana note, with soft acidity and essentially no tannin. Serve it noticeably cool, closer to a white than a red. A cheerful match for charcuterie, roast poultry, soft cheeses and the first cold evenings of the season.
