Product Description
Black Pepper Shiraz is a name that tells you where the wine is pointed before you open it. This is Shiraz in its bold register, built from ripe fruit and generous oak, the kind of red that Australia made its reputation on. The 2015 vintage has had time in bottle to settle its edges and knit the tannins together.
Look for blackberry and dark plum wrapped around cracked pepper, licorice and a warm vanilla-oak frame, finishing long and full-bodied. Decant it for half an hour and serve alongside grilled lamb, a peppered ribeye or aged hard cheese. A wine for cold nights and a table that expects something with shoulders.
