Product Description
Barrels for this one are drawn from a limited section of the warehouse and vatted in small groups, which is where the name comes from. Small Batch is the gateway to the Colonel's collection and arguably its best value: bonded at 100 proof, matured at least four years in new charred oak, and made under the same legal standard E.H. Taylor Jr. campaigned for more than a century ago. Little fanfare, a great deal of substance.
Brown sugar and vanilla open it, followed by cinnamon, dried orange and a dry, tannic oak finish with real length. The proof carries water well, so a splash opens up the fruit without thinning the body. A weekly pour for people who take bourbon seriously and dislike paying for hype.
