Product Description
The jimador is the man in the agave field with a coa, cutting the plant down to its heart in a job that has changed very little in two centuries. The tequila named after him is made at Casa Herradura in Jalisco from pure blue Weber agave, and the anejo is the expression that shows the most patience.
Aged in American oak, it turns amber and picks up caramel, vanilla, baked apple and a warm spice that carries into a long finish. Best neat, in a small glass, after the plates have been cleared. It also makes an excellent old fashioned if you want something familiar built on an unfamiliar base.
