Product Description
This is the bottle that converts people who think they do not like tequila. El Tesoro rests its tahona-crushed highland spirit in American oak for the better part of a year, longer than most reposados, which is why it drinks with the composure of something further up the shelf.
Cooked agave stays clearly in charge, joined by vanilla, honey, a little citrus and a warm, gently spiced finish. It is a superb neat pour, and it makes an outstanding old fashioned or margarita if you are willing to spend good tequila on a cocktail. Worth keeping in reach rather than saving.
