Dick Erath planted vines in the Dundee Hills in the late 1960s, when the idea that Oregon could grow serious Pinot Noir was still considered eccentric. The winery that carries his name is now one of the state's founding institutions, and this bottling remains the most accessible way into the Oregon style.
Cool-climate Pinot at its most inviting: red cherry, raspberry, a touch of forest floor and baking spice, with silky tannins and bright acidity.
