Product Description
The Esterhazy name runs through Austrian history, from the princely estates of Burgenland to the court that once employed Haydn. The winery still farms there, and this eiswein is its most patient expression: grapes left hanging until they freeze solid, then pressed while still icy.
The result is intensely sweet without ever turning heavy, with candied apricot, honey and citrus peel held in line by bright Austrian acidity. Pour it in small glasses after dinner, alongside fruit tarts, blue cheese, or simply on its own.
