An Amarone from 2007 has had time to become itself. Fasoli Gino works the Veneto hills east of Verona, and this wine comes from the region's signature method: grapes air-dried for months before fermentation, concentrating everything they hold.
Age has turned the fruit dried and savory, with cherry preserve, fig, cocoa and leather, a balsamic lift and tannins softened into velvet.
