Product Description
Named for Goethe's restless bargainer, Faust is Napa Cabernet made with intent rather than excess. It comes from a house with deep valley roots and a clear style: ripe fruit held firmly in place by structure.
Blackberry, cassis and dark plum arrive first, threaded with graphite, cedar and a little tobacco from barrel aging. The tannins are firm and polished, the finish long. Decant an hour before dinner and serve with ribeye, rack of lamb, or a dry-aged steak and very little else on the plate.
