Product Description
Nero d'Avola is Sicily's great red grape, capable of both power and ease depending entirely on who is handling it. Firriato's Chiaramonte leans toward the generous end without ever losing its footing.
Dark cherry, blackberry and plum come through ripe and warm, edged with licorice, dried herb and a little sweet spice. The tannins are soft and the finish is long and sunny. Serve it at cool room temperature with grilled meat, eggplant parmigiana, spicy sausage or hard sheep cheese.
