Product Description
Petite Sirah is a misleading name for a grape that produces some of the darkest, most tannic wine in California. Foppiano has championed it in the Russian River Valley for decades, and it remains the house specialty.
Expect inky color, blackberry and blueberry fruit, black pepper, dark chocolate and tannins with genuine grip. It needs food and rewards it: barbecue, brisket, ribs, lamb or aged cheese. Decant it for an hour, serve at cool room temperature, and give it a large glass to open up in.
