Product Description
Few wines have done more to make wine ordinary in America than this one. Hearty Burgundy arrived in the 1960s as a soft, generous red blend priced so that anyone could try it, and it has stayed in production ever since. The name points to France, but the wine is California through and through, and the magnum is its natural home.
Soft and round, with ripe plum, red berry and a faint sweetness of fruit, finishing mellow and short. Serve it slightly cool. It was designed to sit beside everyday cooking, so pour it with spaghetti, roast chicken, a pot of chilli, or a hunk of bread and cheese.
