Product Description
Gekkeikan has been brewing sake since 1637, which makes it one of the oldest continuously operating companies of any kind. That longevity shows in the house style: clean, balanced and made to be poured freely rather than studied, the sake most people meet first and many keep coming back to.
On the palate it is smooth and mild, with soft rice sweetness, a faint melon note and a dry, quiet finish. It is unusually flexible with temperature, good chilled in a small glass in summer and gently warmed in a tokkuri when it is cold outside. Pour it with sushi, tempura, grilled fish, or anything served from a bowl with broth.
