Product Description
Seventeen years is a long time to leave whisky in a Tennessee rickhouse, where summer heat pushes the spirit deep into the oak. Releases at this age from George Dickel are limited by nature: only a small number of barrels come through that many seasons still worth bottling, and Cascade Hollow puts its name on very few of them.
The result is deep and contemplative, with dark caramel, dried fruit, toasted pecan and old leather laid over the distillery signature of charcoal-mellowed corn, finishing long and dry. Pour it neat in a Glencairn and give it ten minutes. This is a whisky for the end of an evening, not for a cocktail shaker.
