Product Description
California Chardonnay spent years swinging between austere and buttery. Geyser Peak aims for the middle, where most drinkers actually live. The Sonoma winery dates to 1880 and has had plenty of time to work out what a house Chardonnay should do at a dinner table.
Look for yellow apple, ripe pear and a squeeze of lemon, with a soft creamy texture and a light note of toasted oak on the finish. Serve it chilled but not ice cold, so the texture is not lost. It suits roast chicken, crab, pasta in cream sauce and anything with butter in the pan, and it is a comfortable partner for a cheese course.
