Product Description
Bussia is one of the great crus of Monforte d Alba, and Visette is the parcel Attilio Ghisolfi has farmed for generations at the top of it. The estate is small, the winemaking is unshowy, and the wines are built to reward the patience Barolo has always demanded. 2013 was a classically proportioned vintage in the Langhe.
Nebbiolo shows itself here in dried rose, sour cherry, tar and woodland floor, carried on high acidity and tannins that still have teeth. Decant it well ahead, serve it slightly below room temperature, and give it braised beef, agnolotti or a wedge of aged Castelmagno.
