Product Description
Priorat is one of only two Spanish regions holding DOQ status, and the reason is underfoot: llicorella, a black slate soil that forces vines to root deep and yields tiny, concentrated crops. Gine Gine is the approachable face of that severe landscape, made to show what Priorat tastes like without the price the region usually commands.
Expect dark berry, black cherry and dried herbs over a mineral, faintly stony core, with firm but polished tannins and a long finish. Give it an hour open, or a short decant. Pour it with grilled lamb, oxtail, mushroom dishes and aged Manchego, and serve it at cool room temperature rather than warm.
