Product Description
Glenfiddich handed a Speyside malt to a craft brewer and then took the casks back. The India Pale Ale Cask Finish opened the distillery Experimental Series, made with a Scottish brewer who filled the barrels with IPA before the whisky went in, and it remains one of the more genuinely novel things in single malt.
The hops leave a mark: zesty lime and grapefruit peel sit over the usual Glenfiddich orchard fruit, with a faintly herbaceous, almost floral bitterness on a fresh, clean finish. Bottled at forty-three percent. Serve it neat to appreciate the effect, or build a Highball with cold soda, which suits it unusually well.
