Product Description
Bourbon Barrel Reserve was made with American drinkers in mind, and it shows. Glenfiddich matures this one for fourteen years in ex-bourbon American oak, then gives it a final stretch in new, deeply charred barrels built in the Kentucky style, which pushes the Speyside house character somewhere warmer and sweeter than usual.
The result is vanilla, toasted oak and brown sugar over the distillery signature of orchard fruit, with a hint of charred spice and a rich, mellow finish. Bottled at forty-three percent, a clear step up in intensity from the 12. Drink it neat, over a large cube, or in an Old Fashioned where the bourbon-cask sweetness does genuine work.
