Product Description
The 1924 line is Gnarly Head's step up, named for the year its Lodi vineyards were first planted and made in a deliberately bolder, darker register than the standard range. The Cabernet is the most classic expression of that ambition: ripe California fruit, generous oak, and enough weight to stand up to serious food.
Blackcurrant and dark cherry with mocha, vanilla and a smoky char from the barrel, full-bodied with rounded tannins and a long, warm finish. Decant it for twenty minutes if you have the time. Serve it with a ribeye, short ribs, lamb, or aged cheddar. For drinkers who want Cabernet rich rather than restrained.
