Product Description
Most Sauvignon Blanc is made to be lean and electric. The 1924 version takes the opposite view, giving the grape more texture and weight than the style usually allows, which puts it closer in spirit to a white Bordeaux than to a New Zealand bottling. A more substantial white than the label might lead you to expect.
Grapefruit and lemon curd with white peach and a soft creamy undertone, medium-bodied and dry, with a rounded finish. Serve it cold but not ice cold, so the texture shows. Good with roast chicken, crab, grilled vegetables, or a rich fish dish. For white wine drinkers who want more than crispness.
