Product Description
Whisky is no longer only a Scottish and Kentucky story. Goalong distills in China's Hunan province, and this five-year expression belongs to a wave of Asian whisky that has moved quickly from curiosity to genuine interest. For anyone who has worked through the usual regions, it offers something legitimately unfamiliar at a sensible price.
Expect malt sweetness and light orchard fruit with vanilla, honey and a soft oak spice, medium-bodied and gently warming through the finish. Try it neat first, then with a few drops of water to open it up. A good bottle for collectors of the unusual and for tasting flights that need a real surprise in them.
