Product Description
Pedro Ximenez is the darkest, sweetest wine Spain produces. The grapes are laid out in the sun to raisin before pressing, concentrating the sugar to the point where the finished wine pours almost like syrup and stains the glass on its way down. It is not a wine for a whole evening, which is exactly why a 500 ml bottle makes sense.
Black raisin, date, molasses and fig with a note of coffee, intensely sweet and viscous, finishing long and surprisingly clean. Serve a small measure lightly chilled. The classic move is to pour it over vanilla ice cream; it also stands up to blue cheese and dark chocolate. Dessert in a glass.
