Product Description
A vintage port is only made in years the houses judge exceptional, and 2016 was declared widely across the Douro. Graham's bottled this one young and unfiltered, on the expectation that it would spend decades developing in glass rather than in cask. That is the essential difference between vintage and tawny, and it is why bottles like this get put away.
Dense black fruit, violet, licorice and dark chocolate, powerfully structured with firm tannins and a very long finish. Drinkable now if decanted for an hour, but it will reward another ten or twenty years. Serve it with Stilton, walnuts or dark chocolate. A bottle worth keeping for something that matters.
