Product Description
Piedra takes its name from the stone. Agave is crushed under a two-ton volcanic tahona wheel, the way tequila was made before machinery arrived, and the extra añejo spirit then rests in new American and French oak. Slower, less efficient and more expensive to produce, which is precisely the argument for it.
Deep and earthy, with roasted agave, cocoa, dried fruit and a mineral undertow that only tahona production seems to deliver. The finish runs long and dry. Drink it neat at room temperature, in silence if possible. For the tequila drinker who has become interested in method.
