Red was always going to happen for a brand called Grand Love, and this is the bottle people reach for when the occasion has some romance attached. The decanter is the draw, but the anejo inside has done its time, resting a minimum of a year in oak before bottling, so the gift survives the moment it is opened. Anniversaries and proposals are its natural habitat.
The profile is warm and rounded: toffee, roasted agave, vanilla and a soft baking-spice finish with no rough edges. Neat at room temperature in a small glass is ideal, though a single cube works well after a heavy meal. A good pick for two people sharing a bottle rather than a crowd working through one.
