Product Description
Syrah grown on the outer edge of the Sonoma Coast is a different animal from the warm-climate version — leaner, more savory, and closer in spirit to the northern Rhône than to anything in Napa. Hartford has been working these cold sites for years.
Blackberry and violet arrive first, then black olive, cracked pepper and a smoky, almost meaty depth underneath. Firm acidity, fine tannin, and a decade in bottle behind it. Decant it, then pour with lamb, duck, or something cooked slowly with a lot of herbs.
