Product Description
Hermann J. Wiemer came to the Finger Lakes from Germany’s Mosel and spent decades proving that cool-climate New York could make Riesling of real seriousness. The estate’s Dry Riesling is its calling card and one of the benchmark American versions of the grape — precise, mineral, and entirely free of the sweetness the variety is so often unfairly saddled with.
Green apple, lime zest and white peach over a wet-stone core, with piercing acidity and a dry, faintly saline finish. Serve it properly cold. Superb with oysters, trout, roast pork, or anything from a Thai or Vietnamese kitchen where acidity has work to do.
