Grasevina is Croatia’s most planted white grape, and the cellars at Ilok on the Danube have been working with it since the eighteenth century — long enough that their wines have turned up at some notable European tables. This is an under-the-radar corner of European wine, and the value on offer is considerable for anyone willing to look past the familiar names.
