Product Description
High in the Mayacamas above Sonoma, Immortal Estate farms a site so steep and rocky that most of the work is done by hand. Slope is the bottling drawn from those upper reaches, where vines struggle, yields collapse to almost nothing, and the fruit that does survive arrives with extraordinary concentration. Very little is made in any given year.
Dense but never heavy: cassis, black cherry and crushed violet over stone, graphite, cedar and dark cocoa, with fine-grained tannin built to last decades. Decant it at least an hour ahead. Serve it with a plainly cooked rib of beef and let the wine do the talking.
