Product Description
Carmenere was lost to Bordeaux and rediscovered in Chile, where growers had spent the better part of a century assuming it was Merlot. It has since become the country’s signature red, and In Situ works with it in the Aconcagua Valley, where warm days and cool nights let the grape ripen fully without surrendering its distinctive herbal edge.
Plush and savoury: black plum, blackcurrant and blackberry with green peppercorn, bell pepper and a note of sweet tobacco, wrapped in supple tannin. It is made to drink now. Serve it with grilled beef, chorizo, roast pork, mushroom risotto, or anything involving black pepper.
