Product Description
Malbec is usually claimed by Argentina, but the Chilean side of the Andes makes a leaner, more structured version worth knowing. In Situ farms in the Aconcagua Valley, where altitude and a cool coastal influence hold the fruit in check and preserve acidity that warmer sites tend to lose. The result is a Malbec with lift rather than weight.
Dark and juicy: blackberry, black plum and violet, with a dusting of sweet spice and cocoa over smooth, rounded tannin. No cellaring required. Pour it with steak, lamb, empanadas, a burger off the grill, or a plate of hard cheese, slightly below room temperature.
