Product Description
Rested between six and ten months in new American oak, this is the Insolito expression that splits the difference: enough barrel influence to round the edges, not enough to mask what made the agave worth distilling in the first place. The range is bottled additive-free throughout, so the pale gold color and silky weight come from time in wood rather than from a bottle of caramel.
Roasted agave and honey lead, with vanilla, dried apple and a peppery lift at the close. Excellent neat, better than most in a tequila old fashioned, and sturdy enough to anchor a spicy highball. A sensible first step into aged agave spirits.
