Product Description
Ironstone Vineyards works out of Murphys, an old gold-rush town in the Sierra Foothills of California, and has spent decades turning out varietal wines that overdeliver for the money. The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon anchors that range: ripe, generous and polished, with enough structure to feel serious at a weeknight price.
Blackcurrant and dark plum sit over cedar, vanilla and a touch of dried herb, with medium tannins that have softened nicely after a few years in bottle. Decant briefly and serve just below room temperature. Natural partners are grilled steak, lamb chops, mushroom-heavy pasta or a plate of sharp aged cheese.
