Product Description
An aromatic white from a small label that will be unfamiliar to almost everyone who picks it up, which is a fine reason to try it. Tamjanika belongs to the Muscat family, a group of grapes prized for perfume rather than power, and wines made from it usually smell far sweeter than they taste. Bottles like this are the reward for browsing past the familiar shelf.
Expect a lifted nose of orange blossom, elderflower and ripe grape, then a lighter, fresher palate than the aroma promises. Serve it well chilled in a tulip glass. Lovely as an aperitif, and comfortable alongside fragrant food, from a mezze spread to grilled peaches with soft cheese.
