Product Description
A small-label Zinfandel with a few years of bottle age behind it, which is exactly when this grape starts to settle down. The 2018 has had time to knit its fruit and oak together, trading the exuberance of a young Zin for something more composed. Lower-profile labels like this are where the value hides once the famous names have priced themselves out.
Brambly blackberry and dried cherry, a note of cocoa and sweet tobacco, with softened tannins and a warm close. Serve at cool room temperature and give it twenty minutes in the glass. Good company for grilled sausage, short ribs, a mushroom ragu, or hard cheese with dried fruit.
