Product Description
The square black-labeled bottle is probably the most recognized object in American whiskey, and the 750 is the format it was made for. Old No. 7 is distilled in Lynchburg from a mash of corn, rye and malted barley, dripped through ten feet of sugar maple charcoal, then aged in new charred oak in warehouses on the hillsides above the distillery.
Sweet char and vanilla on the nose, caramel, banana and light spice on the palate, with toasted oak carrying a warm finish. It drinks well neat, better over ice, and it built half the cocktails on the average bar menu. If a home bar holds one American whiskey, this is usually it.
