Blackberry is a natural partner for Tennessee whiskey, dark and tart enough to stand up to sweet char instead of getting lost in it. This is the newest addition to the flavored Jack Daniel's family, built on Old No. 7 and infused with blackberry before bottling, and it lands less sugary than the category usually manages.
Ripe blackberry and a hint of jam on the nose, then a palate where the fruit turns tangy against the whiskey's caramel and oak, closing clean and bright. Drink it very cold, neat or on the rocks, or build it into a whiskey sour where the berry does something genuinely interesting.
