Product Description
Pouilly-Fuisse is the finest address in the Maconnais, a cluster of steep limestone slopes in southern Burgundy that produce Chardonnay of surprising depth. It is the appellation people graduate to once regional Bourgogne no longer satisfies them. Louis Jadot, a Beaune house with roots in 1859, makes a version that shows why the name carries weight far beyond its region.
Layered and generous: baked apple, citrus curd and toasted almond over a long, stony finish with real breadth. Serve it chilled but allow it to warm in the glass. Superb with lobster, veal in cream, roast chicken or aged comte.
