Product Description
The half bottle is an underrated format. It holds two generous glasses, which is exactly right for a dinner for two or for opening something good on a night when a full bottle would be too much. That it contains white Burgundy from Pouilly-Fuisse, the most distinguished appellation of the Maconnais, makes it a small indulgence rather than a compromise.
Expect orchard fruit, lemon oil and a nutty, faintly buttery edge over a firm limestone finish. Chill it and pour into proper glasses. It flatters seafood, roast poultry and creamy sauces, and it is a fine companion to a quiet cheese course.
