Product Description
South Africa has a long history with Shiraz, and Jam Jar takes the grape somewhere most producers will not: deliberately sweet, served chilled, aimed at drinkers who want fruit rather than structure. It is an easy bottle to dismiss on paper and a very hard one to put down on a warm evening.
Ripe blueberry and blackberry with a lick of black pepper and sweet spice, soft tannins, and a rounded, sugary close. Serve it cold, nearer white wine temperature than red. Excellent with sticky ribs, spiced sausage, barbecue in a sweet sauce, or a wedge of dark chocolate cake.
